What you need to know 

For 12 days you’ll expe­ri­ence the field togeth­er as a team. On the way you’ll vis­it Empart projects, vol­un­teer, min­is­ter, sight­see, shop and bet­ter under­stand your gifts and talents. 

Your team will be led by expe­ri­enced trav­eller — Jemimah Chacko (third year uni stu­dent, KICK 2015 par­tic­i­pant, KICK co-leader in 2017 and KICK leader in 2018). A trust­ed local staff mem­ber from Empart, who speaks flu­ent Eng­lish, will trav­el with you and guide the team safe­ly at all times. 

Empart has many projects. The KICK team will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to vis­it some where you’ll see, expe­ri­ence and min­is­ter at: 

  • Train­ing Cen­tres for men and women (where work­ers are equipped to be ser­vant leaders)
  • Farm
  • Schools and Res­i­den­tial Hostels

Your par­tic­i­pa­tion will vary from place to place, but it will include things like preach­ing, pray­ing and encour­ag­ing, run­ning kids activ­i­ties, play­ing games/​sports activ­i­ties, and some kind of phys­i­cal work such as paint­ing or help­ing with basic build­ing. And of course you’ll be sight-see­ing too. 

Each day the team will also have both group and per­son­al devo­tion and wor­ship times and par­tic­i­pate in equip’ ses­sions. These ses­sions are designed to give you an oppor­tu­ni­ty to strength­en and mature in your faith, while being chal­lenged in a safe and pos­i­tive environment. 

Approx­i­mate Costs 

Total pay­ment due to Empart -$2000* includes:

  • Reg­is­tra­tion fee: $250 — Must be paid with Appli­ca­tion form 
  • Empart field cost: $1750* — Must be paid with­in 14 days of invoicing 
  • Also includes: twin-share accom­mo­da­tion, guide, trans­port, food, water, domes­tic flight & tourist­site entry 

Addi­tion­al costs – Inter­na­tion­al flights, Visa and Trav­el Insur­ance. Empart will advise you about these. 

NB: This doesn’t include per­son­al spend­ing mon­ey, pass­port appli­ca­tion fees, immu­ni­sa­tions or oth­er pay­ments of a per­son­al nature.
