In April 2017 we went and saw first-hand the work of Empart. We were excited to go and amazed at what Empart is accomplishing. We were so humbled by the workers’ hearts to serve and help their communities that we were compelled to help them. We’re asking you to help them too!
The Safe Homes for Street Children are incredible. We really admire the carers who love the children as their own – they’ve become a real family. Without these Homes the children would still be living in chaos on the streets, subject to human trafficking and abuse.
While there we met some of the Empart women. They are strong and courageous and serving as leaders. We saw that life for women in Asia is often a daily struggle. But it struck us that Empart really is setting women free by providing them with education and skills.
As a team we want to do something to provide practical support. How? By raising funds to go towards the running of Safe Homes for Street Children so that more kids can be rescued. And, to raise money to give desperate women tailoring skills so they can have a source of income and break the cycle of poverty for their children.
Team Empart AB really believes we can raise $25,000 but we need your help!
PS: Why the name Empart AB? Because Fiona made us! Not really! We’ve taken it from the All Blacks rugby team. They work together, grunt and push to win and that’s what we’re doing – working as a team and doing what it takes to reach our goal.
